Atorney, top DOJ officials resign over order to drop Adams case

Three senior officials at U.S. Department of Justice, including Manhattan's top federal prosecutor, resigned Thursday, instead of complying with an order to dismiss corruption charges against New York City's mayor, according to an internal Justice Department memo.

Manhattan U.S. Attorney Danielle Sassoon, the Donald Trump administration's recent pick to temporarily lead the office prosecuting Eric Adams, resigned her post, according to the memorandum by Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove.
