Finding the Right Spot
: When Kids Can't Live with Their Parents

by Janice Levy (2004, Magination Press, 9.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

A story for all kids who can't live with their parents, regardless of the circumstances. It's a story about resilience and loyalty, hope and disappointment, love, sadness, and anger, too. It's about whether life is fair, and wondering what will happen tomorrow, and talking about all of it. And finally, it's about what makes the spot you're in, feel right. Color. Grades 1-6. [6” x 9”...42 pages]

Goodnight, Daddy

by Angela Seward (2001, Morning Glory Press, 7.95)

Eight-year-old Phoebe is the child of a single mother and has not seen her father for two years. Phoebe looks forward to a visit from her father, but must deal with disappointment when he postpones his visit. Without anger, Phoebe’s mother helps her understand that Phoebe will be okay whether he comes or not. Color. Grades K-3. [8” x 8”...48 pages]

The Kissing Hand

by Audrey Penn (2007, Tanglewood Press, 12.95/with CD)

When Chester the raccoon is reluctant to go to kindergarten, his mother teaches him a secret way to carry her love with him. This book will help any child who will be temporarily separated from home. An audio CD is included which has a reading from the book and an original song. Color. Grades K-2. [8.5” x 10.5”...30 pages]

In the 10-page Special Section for Single Parents, several professionals discuss issues such as the never-married parent, as well as the totally absent father. Color. Grades 1-3. [8.5” x 8.5”...48 pages]

Free Shipping... Just order 25.00 or more! There is a 3.95 charge for orders under 25.00.

Order by 1:00 P.M. (Central Time)... We'll send a confirming e-mail, and try to ship the same day!

Tracking information... We pay an extra fee to the U.S. Postal Service and UPS so we can monitor each package we ship. If you would like that tracking information also sent to you, just let us know.

We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).

We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.

Standard Shipping... 3.95 for orders under 25.00; free shipping for any order over 25.00 (including Purchase Orders).

Expedited Shipping... 4.80 for one or more DVDs; 6.95 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books; 12.95 for board games. We normally use Priority Mail (First Class) for home addresses; UPS for school addresses.
