Michael can't wait to tell his mom all about his day at school. But how can he, when she keeps stopping him before he gets to the best part? But what ever you do…DON'T SAY THAT WORD! Color. Grades PreK-3. [9” x 11.5”...40 pages]

Words Are Not for Hurting

by Liz Verdick (2004, Free Spirit, 11.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Some words are kind. But some of them are not. What do hurtful words do? Here, children will learn that their words belong to them: They can think before they speak, then choose what to say and how to say it. They will explore simple, positive ways to respond when others say hurtful things to them. Most importantly, they will discover the power or saying "I'm sorry," when their words hurt someone else. You'll find the "activities and discussion starters" (pages 28-31) worth the price of the book. Color. Grades K-2. [9" x 9"...32 pages]

After shocking his parents and their guests with this word, Elbert learns alternatives for his inappropriate language. Color. Grades K-4. [8.5” x 9.5”...30 pages]

The Big Blooper

by Stan & Jan Berenstain (2000, Random House, 3.25)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Sister Bear is over at Lizzy Bruin’s house watching a video. Sister goes home and tries out a certain word she heard on the video. Mama Bear explains that it’s not the kind of word that adults, and certainly not cubs, should use at any time. Color. Grades K-2. [8” x 8”...30 pages]

This book is part of the popular Berenstain Bears Series.

The Words Hurt

by Chris Loftis (1995, Small Horizons, 9.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Greg’s father continually lashes out at his son and fails to express the love he feels. This book provides critical support for children suffering from verbal abuse. It reassures them of their self worth, and proves they are, unfortunately, not alone. Color. Grades K-4. [7.5” x 8.5”...45 pages]

We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).

We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.

Standard Shipping... 3.95 for orders under 25.00; free shipping for any order over 25.00 (including Purchase Orders).

Expedited Shipping... 4.80 for one or more DVDs; 6.95 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books; 12.95 for board games. We normally use Priority Mail (First Class) for home addresses; UPS for school addresses.
