Words Are Not for Hurting
by Liz Verdick (2004, Free Spirit, 11.95)
[Check/Credit
Card Price...Less 21% = 9.44]
Some words are kind. But some of them are not. What do hurtful
words do? Here, children will learn that their words belong to
them: They can think before they speak, then choose what to say
and how to say it. They will explore simple, positive ways to
respond when others say hurtful things to them. Most importantly,
they will discover the power or saying "I'm sorry," when
their words hurt someone else. You'll find the "activities and
discussion starters" (pages 28-31) worth the price of the book.
Color. Grades K-2. [9" x
9"...32 pages]

Greg’s father continually lashes out at his son and fails

Order by 1:00 P.M. (Central Time)... We'll send a confirming e-mail, and normally ship the same day!
Tracking information... We pay an extra fee to the U.S. Postal Service and UPS so we can monitor each package we ship. If you would like that tracking information also sent to you, just let us know.
We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).
We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.
Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.
Standard Shipping... 3.95 for orders under 50.00; free shipping for any order over 50.00 (including Purchase Orders).
Expedited Shipping... 6.95 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books. We normally use Priority Mail (First Class) for home addresses; UPS for school addresses.
