A Walk in the Rain with a Brain
by Edward Hallowell (2004, Regan Books, 16.95/hardback)
[Check/Credit
Card Price...Less 21% = 13.39]
A little girl named Lucy is making her way down a rainy sidewalk
when she spies, of all things, a brain—Manfred, called Fred—sitting
forlornly in a puddle. The courtly cerebrum asks Lucy for help
getting home, and as they walk along she worries that she's not
smart enough. "Everyone's smart!" explains Fred. "You
just need to find out at what!" Fred reassures her that
each child learns and thinks differently—and that every child
has special talents. (The five-page Discussion Guide for
Parents and Teachers is worth the price of the book.) Color.

The Trouble with Ben
by Barry Polisar (1992, Rainbow Morning Music, 14.95/hardback)
[Check/Credit
Card Price...Less 21% = 11.81]
Ben was different. And the other children knew it. Some of them wouldn’t play with him and called him names. They said he was big and clumsy. They said he was weird. The trouble is—Ben isn’t a child, he’s a bear. It’s just that others don’t notice because they are too busy trying to get him to be like everyone else. “Ben then begins to concentrate on the things he was good at. He knew there were things he could do better than anyone else.” If you are working with a student who experiences little success, this might be the key. Color. Grades 1-5. [10” x 9”...32 pages]

Order by 1:00 P.M. (Central Time)... We'll send a confirming e-mail, and normally ship the same day!
Tracking information ... We'll have the U.S. Postal Service or UPS send you tracking information each time your package is scanned.
We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).
We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.
Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.
