Having patience is an important life skill...

I Can Wait for the Bell to Ring

by Jennifer Rapp (2006, Blue Apple Books, 9.95/hardback)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 7.86]

Nobody likes to wait, but sometimes you just don't have a choice. Whether they're waiting for the printer to print, or waiting for their braces to come off, it's easy to commiserate with these reluctantly patient kids while they wait…and wait…and wait. Here is the perfect book for anyone who is waiting for something. Grades PreK-3. [7” x 7”...48 pages]

The Race

by Caroline Repchuk (2001, Chronicle Books, 6.95)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 5.49]

Features the instantly recognizable Tortoise and Hare. In Hare's haste, he runs into all kinds of traveling trouble, while slow-and-steady Tortoise makes a leisurely trip to the end destination—New York. Lush illustrations combine with the with text to make the familiar morals of patience and diligence ring true for a whole new generation. Color. Grades K-5. [12” x 10”...32 pages]

Let's Be Patient

by P.K. Hallinan (2005, Ideals Publications, 7.95/board book)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 6.28]

Simple, rhyming text presents situations that test a child's patience and demonstrate the benefits of waiting. As you know, a young child's enthusiasm for their activities often makes it difficult for them to be patient. This P.K. Hallinan book presents several common scenarios that challenge a child's ability to wait and gently introduces the concept of delayed gratification. Color. Grades Pre-K. [6.5” x 6.5”...26 pages]

Order by 1:00 P.M. (Central Time)...
We'll send a confirming e-mail, and normally ship the same day!

Tracking information... We pay an extra fee to the U.S. Postal Service and UPS so we can monitor each package we ship. If you would like that tracking information also sent to you, just let us know.

We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).

We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.

Standard Shipping... 3.95 for orders under 50.00; free shipping for any order over 50.00 (including Purchase Orders).

Expedited Shipping... 6.95 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books. We normally use Priority Mail (First Class) for home addresses; UPS for school addresses.

Just send us an e-mail (paperbacks@usmo.com), or call (800-227-2591). We'll give you pricing information, and availability. If we don't have a particular book in stock, or can't get it to you rather quickly, we'll help find a source.
