My Mouth Is a Volcano

by Julia Cook (2006, CTC Publishing, 9.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Louis always interrupts! All of his thoughts are very important to him and when he has something to say, his words rumble and grumble in his tummy, they wiggle and jiggle on his tongue, and press firmly against his teeth, right before he ERUPTS (or interrupts). His mouth is a volcano! But when others begin to interrupt Louis, he learns how to respectfully wait for his turn to talk. Color. Grades K-4. [9” x 8”...32 pages]

It's definitely hard to be five, but Jamie Lee Curtis's rhyming verses and Laura Cornell's playful illustrations make learning self-control a little bit easier and a lot more fun. This is the author/illustrator duo's sixth book for kids. Color. Grades PreK-3. [10.5” x 9”...32 pages]

But learning discipline, self-control, consideration for others, and, eventually, forgiveness comes a little harder. Her adventures provide a wonderful opening for discussing self-control and communication at school. Color. Grades K-3. [8” x 10”...32 pages]

Me First

by Helen Lester (1992, Houghton Mifflin, 6.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

The story about a plump, delightfully expressive pig named Pinkerton. Who, always, insists on being first. That is, until he makes the mistake of rushing for a sandwich. Unfortunately, one that turns out not to be the edible kind. Color. Grades K-3. [8” x 9.5”...32 pages]

The Rabbit Who Lost His Hop

by Marcia Shoshana Nass (2004, Childswork/Childsplay, 12.50)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

In this entertaining story, Ricky Rabbit has forgotten how to hop. Instead, he just runs and races around, totally out of control. He can`t even play hopscotch like the other rabbits, because he just doesn`t have enough self-control. Fortunately, Ricky goes to an understanding counselor, who teaches him how to stop, relax, and think. With practice, Ricky learns to control his impulsivity and overactivity—and gets back his hop. For ages 4-8. (The Kit comes with the book, a Rabbit figure and Activity Sheet for 19.95.) [8.5” x 11”...76 pages]

We're best known for two things...

__The way we pack (very carefully)
__The way we ship (very quickly)

We take packing seriously... Your books, DVDs, and CDs will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box, or in a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). Therapeutic games are packed in heavy-duty boxes so they arrive in perfect condition. We also pack around the books and games with plenty of packing material to protect them from any damage. And, when the order is sealed and ready to ship, we stamp the package with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the U.S. since 1978. It will not be an accident that your books, therapeutic games, CDs, or DVDs will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.

Standard Shipping... 3.95 for orders under 25.00; free shipping for any order over 25.00 (including Purchase Orders).

Expedited Shipping... 6.95 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books; 12.95 for board games; 4.80 for one or more CDs or DVDs. We normally use Priority Mail (First Class) for home addresses; UPS for school and business addresses.
