Benefits of Counseling...

Feeling Better
: A Kid's Book About Therapy

by Rachel Rashkin (2005, Magination Press, 9.95)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 7.86]

Twelve-year-old Maya chronicles her emotional ups and downs and describes the process of therapy. She begins by describing a change in her feelings and functioning: a lack of interest in things she used to love, difficulties in school, and problems getting along with her friends and family. The problems are portrayed as quite general, in order to reach the widest possible audience. Grades 3-8. [6” x 9”...48 pages]

My Listening Friend
: A Story About the Benefits of Counseling

by P.J. Michaels (2001, Childswork, 15.50)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 12.24]

Written from the point of view of a child, this book can make it easier for children to understand what typically happens in a counselor’s office. The child in the story is referred for counseling because of his behavior problems, and although he doesn’t want to see the counselor, he quickly learns the value of having a special “listening friend” who helps him. Grades K-6. [8.5” x 11”...60 pages]

Who Is Your School Counselor?

by Lisa Miller & Connie Brown (2002, Marco, 18.95)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 14.97]

The format for the first session is a story entitled, "Who the Counselor Is Not." So, as the students learn about the counselor, they also learn about the cafeteria workers, the principal, school secretaries, nurse, and custodians. The second session reinforces and expands on the counselor's roles within the school. This is done through a game of bingo. Includes 30 "A Counselor Is…" bingo cards. Grades K-2. [8.5" x 11"...24 pages]

Order by 1:00 P.M. (Central Time)...
We'll send a confirming e-mail, and normally ship the same day!

Tracking information ... We'll have the U.S. Postal Service or UPS send you tracking information each time your package is scanned.

We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).

We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.

Standard Shipping... 3.50 for orders under 50.00; free shipping for any order over 50.00 (including Purchase Orders).

Expedited Shipping... 5.00 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books. We normally use First Class Mail for home addresses; UPS for school addresses.
