D-backs bring back Mantiply to refresh bullpen

Arizona Diamondbacks recalled left-hander Joe Mantiply from Triple-A Reno on Saturday, after right-hander Cristian Mena was optioned following a loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Diamondbacks used five relievers in the May 9 14-11 loss to the Dodgers, with Mena the most effective of the bunch when he delivered 3 2/3 scoreless innings and retired 11 of the 12 batters he faced.
