This spring, the high desert will hum with creativity, connection and a little bit of stardust. Mosaic Gathering returns to Gateway Ranch from May 2�4, 2025, inviting the community to step into a shared celebration of art, embodiment and togetherness.

Part retreat, part playground, part artistic bloom � Mosaic is a three-day camping gathering where participants offer workshops, performances, rituals, music, movement and magic. From the thoughtful to the silly, the sacred to the surreal, every piece of the weekend is a tile in a much larger picture: what it means to be human, together.

“It’s part music festival, part wellness retreat, part conference � and at its heart, it’s a networking event for people who love life and want to celebrate it together. Truly a mosaic where each person brings their own piece,� says Michael Hucks, event director and co-founder of Sondering, a local community organization devoted to intentional connection and collective growth. “We’ve created a space together where curiosity, creativity and meaningful collaboration isn't just encouraged � it's the whole purpose.�

Offerings range from Ayurvedic healing and aerial dance to immersive storytelling, live music, crochet workshops, ritual theater and discussions on the flow state, mental health, and 21st century creativity. The gathering features artists and facilitators from across the Southwest and beyond � each one bringing a spark of their own medicine.

Partner organizations include Sondering, SpotLab, Monster Universe, Culture Shock, Mountain Muse Entertainment, CPZ, Handyman and Wav Presents � a collective effort to create something that feels less like an event and more like a village that shows up just when we need it most.

“Mosaic is what happens when you stop trying to be perfect and start trying to be real,� says Kayley Quick, co-organizer and founder of Monster Universe. “It’s messy and tender and beautiful. You leave with dirt on your feet and stars in your eyes.�
