Celebrate 2025 � Flagstaff style! From 11 am. to 2 p.m. on April 19, enjoy educational workshops, planet-friendly activities and live performances and music at Bushmaster Park. In the first workshop, ‘Bee� an Upcycler, you can create your own bee or butterfly watering station and mini pollinator using upcycled household items. In the next workshop, Rainwater Harvesting, the City of Flagstaff Water Services will teach you how to collect rainwater, conserve water and maintain lawns and plants. Plus there’s a chance to win a free rain barrel. The last workshop, Home Energy Efficiency, will provide tips and tricks for energy conservation for your household, plus a free DIY energy efficiency kit will be awarded to the first five groups to arrive at the workshop. Continue the sustainability celebration with local musicians and performers, featuring Piso Mojado, Side Project, Deviled Egg and Aaron White. Attendees are encouraged to ditch the cars and opt for a greener way to go � pedal up to the bike valet for free and safe storage of your ride, or hop on the Mountain Line bus for free transportation services all day. After the festivities in the park, head over to Northern Arizona University’s North Lawn from 3 to 7 p.m. for . There will be booths, workshops, prizes, food trucks, cultural performances, activities and much more � plus live music by Moon Tour and Bush League. As the world’s first International Dark Sky City, Flagstaff is among the top places to stargaze. is a free community event in downtown Flagstaff, celebrating International Dark Sky Week. Held on April 24, from 7 to 10 p.m. in Heritage Square, the evening blends stargazing with local flavor and atmospheric ambiance. As the sun sets, guests can enjoy small bites and specialty sky-themed drinks. Attendees will be treated to laser-guided night sky tours and telescope viewings of Mars, Jupiter and other celestial wonders. The event offers a unique way to connect with the cosmos while supporting a good cause � proceeds benefit the Flagstaff Dark Skies Coalition and the Downtown Flagstaff Foundation. This month, the Flagstaff High School Drama Club is bringing “Chicago! The Musical" to the Cromer Theater stage. It’s a darkly satirical musical set in the 1920s that follows Roxie Hart, a housewife who murders her lover and ends up in jail alongside vaudevillian Velma Kelly, also accused of murder. Both women compete for fame, the spotlight and the help of slick lawyer Billy Flynn, who turns their trials into media circuses. The show explores themes of corruption, media manipulation and the blurred lines between truth and performance. The Flag High drama team has been hard at work rehearsing and preparing to deliver this spectacular production. Flagstaff Shakespeare Festival (FlagShakes) is set to stage Heidi Schreck’s award-winning play “What the Constitution Means to Me� at the new Beaver Street Theatre. Starring Amie Bjorklund, the production blends captivating acting performances with a historical yet humorous script. The play highlights the U.S. Constitution’s impact on women’s lives through powerful storytelling and important debates, earning recognition as a Pulitzer Prize finalist and Tony Award nominee. "We are thrilled to bring this remarkable piece of theater to Flagstaff audiences," FlagShakes' executive director Dawn Tucker said.
