Adopted and Wondering
: Drawing Out Feelings

by Marge Heegaard (2007, Fairview Press, 9.95)
     [Check/Credit Card Price...Less 21% = 7.86]

This art therapy book helps children cope with the emotional impact of adoption. Children can use this book's interactive exercises to realize that their birth parents were good people who loved them, but were unable to give them a good home. The drawing activities help the child understand that they were placed, rather than abandoned. The goal here is to have the child develop a strong sense of personal identity. The interactive drawing exercises help children explain in pictures what they are unable to say in words. Grades K-6. [8.5” x 11”...32 pages]

: A Positive Approach to Building a Strong Family

by Andrew Adesman & Christine Adamec (2004, McGraw-Hill, 14.95)

Parents of adopted children face some unique challenges in addition to all the "regular" issues that come with being a parent. This book provides helpful tools that enable families to understand and counter common myths about adoption that may be harmful to their children. It also clearly demonstrates how parents can effectively tailor their parenting approach to suit their child's distinct needs. [6” x 9”...272 pages]

Order by 1:00 P.M. (Central Time)...
We'll send a confirming e-mail, and normally ship the same day!

Tracking information... We pay an extra fee to the U.S. Postal Service and UPS so we can monitor each package we ship. If you would like that tracking information also sent to you, just let us know.

We're best known for two things... The way we pack (very carefully); and the way we ship (very quickly).

We take book safety seriously... Your books will be shrink-wrapped on a heavy piece of cardboard, and placed in a heavy-duty box or a padded mailing bag (depending on the size of your order). We also pack around the books with plenty of clean paper to keep the books from moving. And, when the order is ready to ship, we'll stamp the box with our traditional red "HANDLE WITH ENTHUSIASM" stamp.

Our customers tell us... That we are pretty good at what we do. And we ought to be! We've been dispatching books to all corners of the planet since 1978. We're one of those old-fashioned companies with real toll-free telephones—and real people to answer them. It will not be an accident that your books will arrive in perfect condition. We make sure they will.

Standard Shipping... 3.95 for orders under 50.00; free shipping for any order over 50.00 (including Purchase Orders).

Expedited Shipping... 6.95 for one book; 9.95 for two or more books. We normally use Priority Mail (First Class) for home addresses; UPS for school addresses.

Just send us an e-mail (paperbacks@usmo.com), or call (800-227-2591). We'll give you pricing information, and availability. If we don't have a particular book in stock, or can't get it to you rather quickly, we'll help find a source.
