The "Kid-to-Kid" Series...

These 16 warm, humorous books offer kind-hearted guidance about important life skills. Each book in the series helps children explore how to manage their own feelings and how to respond when they meet those feelings in others.

At the end of each book are two pages of activities called, “Things to Do in the Kids Corner,” that reinforce the lessons in the book. Plus, there is a page of “Other Books to Read” that further illuminates the concepts that are presented. Color. Grades K-3. [7.5” x 8”...32 pages each]

Through a series of examples and colorful illustrations, the author uses a little girl to show how thinking about other people’s feelings makes it much easier to be polite—at home, at school, at friends’ houses, in public, etc. She says, "I even try to be polite in school. I raise my hand before I talk, most of the time. And I'm really helpful." Color. Grades K-3.

Color. Grades K-3.

I Feel Angry

by Brian Moses (1999, Sundance Pub., 7.50)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]

Students are told that it really doesn’t accomplish much when you do things because you are angry. The book describes through its characters how both parents and teachers can get frustrated, and even angry, when students don’t cooperate. Also, when they throw things, make fun of someone, or copy answers on a test. It concludes with this final suggestion on controlling anger, "But the thing that helps most is talking about how I feel." Color. Grades K-3.
