Tails Are Not for Pulling
by Liz Verdick (2005, Free Spirit, 11.95)
[See Discounts and Free Shipping option at bottom of page]
Pets may not have words, but they can communicate. This book invites children to pay attention to the cues animals give with their barks, growls, purrs, and swishing tails. Children learn that teasing isn't nice, that they can choose to be kind to animals, and that if you want to touch someone's pet, there's one important rule you should know: Ask the owner first! Throughout, children learn how to love pets gently—because pets are for loving, after all. Grades PreK-3. [9" x
