Set for its first event in its new space, the聽Interference Series in Flagstaff will host its 8th annual Sun Ra Earthly Arrival on Friday, May 16, at the Beaver Street Theater.
The annual celebration on Sun Ra, also known as聽Herman 鈥淪onny鈥� Blount, pays tribute to his work as a composer, pianist, bandleader and philosopher. The evening will include a multimedia concert of music, visuals, movement and poetry, featuring a cast of local artists as well as refreshments.
Tickets are $10 in advance or at the door, with the event scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. after doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased ,聽or visit聽 for more information.
