Regarding the Pinyon Plain uranium mine at the Grand Canyon: The questions are simple. Do people have the right to be assured their drinking water will not kill them? Do people have the right to oppose transport of radioactive material through communities that have a tragic history with uranium? If the answer is no, then nothing really important matters. If the answer is yes, as surely it must be, then this whole operation needs to be re-examined. Now the Arizona attorney general is looking into this situation. If the currently available science is questioning the wisdom of mining at the Grand Canyon, don't do it.
