Although Max Verstappen clinched his third straight Formula One title almost two months ago at the Qatar GP there was never any chance of him easing up. He's won every race since and capped off an outstanding year with a record-extending 19th victory of the season at the Abu Dhabi GP on Sunday. Verstappen says "I just can't come into a race weekend not giving my all." To round off a remarkable season, he also passed the landmark of 1,000 laps led in a season and moved onto 54 wins overall for third on the all-time list. Verstappen finished ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Mercedes driver George Russell in Abu Dhabi and also collected a bonus point for the fastest lap.

Max Verstappen has taken pole position for the season-ending Abu Grand Prix and will look to finish a crushingly dominant year with a 19th win. Victory on Sunday would take the Red Bull driver onto 54 career wins and past Sebastian Vettel and into third place all time. The three-time F1 champion's 12th pole of the season took him to 32 overall. He starts the race ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in second place and McLaren's Oscar Piastri in third. Mercedes driver George Russell qualified in fourth ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. both struggled with Hamilton 11th and Sainz 16th.

Sergio Perez of Red Bull finished in the Brazilian Grand Prix of Formula One in fourth place on Sunday, distancing himself from Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton in one of the few competitions left this season � a position as runner-up. Three-time champion Max Verstappen led from the start and won his 17th race. Perez nearly took the podium position from third-place Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin, but the Spaniard saw the checkered flag 0.053 seconds before the Mexican. The two battled for the position in the three final laps of the race. McLaren's Lando Norris was second at Interlagos.

Max Verstappen has followed up his third Formula One title with yet another race win Sunday as he eased to victory in the Qatar Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver started on pole and was comfortably ahead of the rest of the field on his way to his 14th win in 2023. Verstappen clinched the title Saturday in the sprint race. Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris finished second and third in a double podium finish for McLaren. The two Mercedes of George Russell and Lewis Hamilton started behind Verstappen on the grid but collided at the first corner.

Max Verstappen has qualified on pole for the Qatar Grand Prix, a day before he can secure his third consecutive Formula One title in the sprint race. Verstappen set a commanding time early in the third and last session of qualifying and bailed out of his final run. It didn't matter as George Russell could only manage a time .441 seconds slower than Verstappen as he qualified in second. His Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton was third. Verstappen can secure the title Saturday in the sprint race. Perez is the only driver who can mathematically win the crown other than Verstappen.

Carlos Sainz Jr. has won the Singapore Grand Prix for Ferrari as Max Verstappen and Red Bull's historic win streaks in Formula One came to an end. Red Bull had dreamed of winning every race this year but had Verstappen fifth and Perez eighth after struggling all weekend in Singapore. Verstappen's winning run ended at 10 races and Red Bull's at 15, including one at the end of last year. Both are Formula One records.

Max Verstappen's historic run of 10 Formula One wins in a row looks set to end after he qualified down in 11th place for the Singapore Grand Prix. Carlos Sainz Jr. took pole for Sunday's race as Red Bull had its worst qualifying results of the season. Verstappen was eliminated by .007 seconds in the second session by rookie Liam Lawson of sister team AlphaTauri. Verstappen's teammate Sergio Perez was 13th after a spin. Verstappen says it's "very hard to pass in Singapore on the street circuit."

Carlos Sainz Jr. is enjoying a perfect birthday weekend so far after he secured pole position for the Italian Grand Prix much to the delight of the Ferrari tifosi. Thousands of red-clad Ferrari fans cheered as Sainz crossed the line 0.013 seconds quicker than runaway Formula One leader Max Verstappen. Sainz turned 29 on Friday. It was his fourth career pole and first since Austin last year. He had been quickest in two of the three practices as Ferrari looked good on its home track. Teammate Charles Leclerc will start third on Sunday. Verstappen is chasing a record-breaking 10th straight victory.

Defending Formula One champion Max Verstappen enters the mid-season break in unstoppable form. He emphatically won the Belgian Grand Prix for an eighth straight win and 10th overall of a crushingly dominant season. Despite starting from sixth place he finished 22.3 seconds ahead of Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez to move ominously closer to a third straight world title and his own F1 record of 15 wins from last year. He is 125 points ahead of Perez and can equal Sebastian Vettel's F1 record of nine straight wins with a victory at the Dutch GP on Aug. 27. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finished third with Lewis Hamilton in fourth for Mercedes. Red Bull extended its record to 13 straight wins including last year's final race.
