Although Max Verstappen clinched his third straight Formula One title almost two months ago at the Qatar GP there was never any chance of him easing up. He's won every race since and capped off an outstanding year with a record-extending 19th victory of the season at the Abu Dhabi GP on Sunday. Verstappen says "I just can't come into a race weekend not giving my all." To round off a remarkable season, he also passed the landmark of 1,000 laps led in a season and moved onto 54 wins overall for third on the all-time list. Verstappen finished ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc and Mercedes driver George Russell in Abu Dhabi and also collected a bonus point for the fastest lap.

Max Verstappen has taken pole position for the season-ending Abu Grand Prix and will look to finish a crushingly dominant year with a 19th win. Victory on Sunday would take the Red Bull driver onto 54 career wins and past Sebastian Vettel and into third place all time. The three-time F1 champion's 12th pole of the season took him to 32 overall. He starts the race ahead of Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in second place and McLaren's Oscar Piastri in third. Mercedes driver George Russell qualified in fourth ahead of McLaren's Lando Norris. Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari's Carlos Sainz Jr. both struggled with Hamilton 11th and Sainz 16th.

After a record-breaking year, Formula One champion Max Verstappen isn't ready for 2023 to end just yet. Especially when another milestone can be reached at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday. Another victory would take him to 54 career wins and past former Red Bull star Sebastian Vettel into outright third place on the all-time list. Verstappen says "it will end at one point, but hopefully not too soon." Verstappen is looking for a record-extending 19th win of the season but acknowledged he already has one eye on 2024.

Max Verstappen's dominance is so total that it already feels like he's won his third straight Formula One title. That's with 10 races remaining following the mid-season break. With a lead of 125 points over his nearest rival the Red Bull driver is already in position to watch a highlights reel of his season and list his favorite wins. There have been 10 out of 12 races so far plus a further two victories when including sprint races. After winning the Belgian Grand Prix with another emphatic drive Verstappen was asked which of the victories this season he likes the most. But he says "it's difficult to choose."

Defending Formula One champion Max Verstappen enters the mid-season break in unstoppable form. He emphatically won the Belgian Grand Prix for an eighth straight win and 10th overall of a crushingly dominant season. Despite starting from sixth place he finished 22.3 seconds ahead of Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez to move ominously closer to a third straight world title and his own F1 record of 15 wins from last year. He is 125 points ahead of Perez and can equal Sebastian Vettel's F1 record of nine straight wins with a victory at the Dutch GP on Aug. 27. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc finished third with Lewis Hamilton in fourth for Mercedes. Red Bull extended its record to 13 straight wins including last year's final race.

Max Verstappen has been so dominant, Formula One's runaway leader may soon have to change his name to Maximum Verstappen. Verstappen won both the main F1 race and the shorter sprint race from pole position at the Austrian Grand Prix. He topped every section of qualifying and led the only practice session on his way to collecting a fifth straight win and seventh in nine races so far this season. Eight in 11 if you include one of the two sprint races so far. Verstappen crushed the competition to such an extent at his team's home track in Spielberg that he even surprised himself. He was probably the only one who didn't expect it.

Defending Formula One champion Max Verstappen produced a superb final lap to take pole position at the Monaco Grand Prix and deny Aston Martin veteran Fernando Alonso his first pole in 11 years. Verstappen called his first pole at Monaco "very lovely" but there was nothing to cheer for his Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez as last year's Monaco winner crashed early in qualifying.
