Russell Henley's strong finish gives him a 62 and a 1-shot lead at Wyndham

Russell Henley still thinks about a poor finish that cost him the Wyndham Championship two years ago. Thursday was all about his great start. He shot 62. That gives him a one-shot lead over Adam Svensson and Byeong Hun An. All three are a lock for the PGA Tour postseason that begins next week. Adam Scott is not in that group. He's No. 81 in the FedEx Cup and only the top 70 advance after this week. Scott took a big step with a 65. Justin Thomas is No. 78 and he's stuck in neutral. He shot 70.

Scheffler on another big run, this one getting attention

Scottie Scheffler is on another big run. That's how it was last year when he won four times in six starts and capped it off with the Masters. Now there seems to be a greater appreciation for what Scheffler is capable of doing. The 26-year-old from Dallas won The Players Championship by five shots. That's his second win in the last four starts. He nearly won at Bay Hill the week before. Scheffler is back to No. 1 in the world and his next two starts are tournaments he won last year.
