While speaking to People about her new movie Alice, Darling, the Pitch Perfect star spoke about her connection to character Alice. Anna stars as the titular character in the upcoming thriller a woman trapped in an abusive relationship who becomes the unwitting participant in an intervention staged by two close friends. Anna recalled to People of the time she was sent the film’s script, “I was coming out of a personal experience with emotional abuse and psychological abuse. I think my rep sent it to me because he knew what I’d been dealing with and sent it along.�
