Flagstaff's Iniguez, Carpenter earn 4A Conference honors; NPA's Cosper named 2A honorable mention

Following a nine-game win streak that sent the Flagstaff Eagles to the 4A Conference state championship game as the 14th seed, the team's two primary pitchers earned conference recognition, while one Northland Prep Spartans baseball player landed on the 2A list.

Named to the 4A Conference's first team, senior Connor Iniguez earned his first career conference recognition after leading the Eagles with 77 innings pitched this season. He finished the year with a 2.91 ERA and struck out 72 batters to just 25 walks. At the plate, Iniguez finished with a .333 batting average and a .424 on-base percentage, walking 13 times in 96 plate appearances.
