One of Flagstaff’s two Family Dollar locations is closing its doors on Saturday, April 19, as it begins a transition into a Dollar Tree location.

The rebranding of the location at 3494 E. Route 66 begins a few weeks after Dollar Tree announced it would sell Family Dollar to private equity groups Brigade Capital Management and Macellum Capital Management for $1 billion. The divestment, which is anticipated to close during the second quarter of 2025 following the March 26 announcement, comes about a decade after Dollar Tree bought Family Dollar for around $9 billion in 2015.
