Breaking barriers: Tracing the journey of 2 women's discoveries along the Colorado River

Medicine, science, math, history: these are just a few among the topics that were once reserved for men. Even today, in the 21st century, women are still breaking through boundaries and finding footing in fields they were recently not allowed in.

When it comes to history, it seems our country was built on the decisions � often mistakes � of men. Though, occasionally, it is revealed that behind major inventions, revolutionary discoveries and the creation of our nation were women who have since been uncredited.



Sabrina Grimaldi is an Arizona journalist, book editor and published author. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Northern Arizona University in 2020 before launching The Zillennial Zine, an online magazine that amplifies young voices in media. When she’s not writing, editing or reading for fun, you can find her binge-watching "Gilmore Girls," listening to Taylor Swift, sipping a chai or spending time with her husband, Taylor, and their poodle, Finn.
