A concept design plan for Highland Mesa Park entered into the City of Flagstaff’s design review process in March and was presented during the March 17 Parks and Recreation Commission meeting.
Located northwest of the commercial development where Staples resides, and west of the Westside Veterinary Clinic, Your Pie and Firehouse Subs, the two parcels of city-owned land make up a total of 5.31 acres and were previously referred to as Westside Park. Developed through community and neighborhood outreach between June and October 2024 across the three subdivisions in the area, Highland Mesa Park will eventually become the first park developed from undeveloped land since 2003.
