The Coconino County Education Service Agency (CCESA) is making plans to continue its mental health offerings for educators and students across the county as the program’s initial funding will be ending in September.

CCESA first started considering a behavioral health support program in the mid-2010s, said superintendent of schools Cheryl Mango-Paget. Its first grant was awarded in 2019 to support two schools, which she said then became proof of concept for the current Building Resilient Youth and Schools (BRYS) program. It was then awarded American Rescue Plan Act funding from the county, which will end Sept. 30, 2024.
