United Way of Northern Arizona hosted its annual luncheon last week, giving an update on literacy in the region, progress on its fundraising campaign and recognizing the winners of various awards
United Way of Northern Arizona (UWNA) hosted its annual Community Impact Luncheon last week, awarding local residents and organizations and discussing the state of youth literacy in the region.
Northern Arizona University and Coconino Community College received the Community Builder Award, while APS received the Leading the Way Award, Joy Baking Group received the Campaign Growth Award and Coconino County Juvenile Court’s Hope Receiving Center was given the Stepping Up for Youth Award. Nathan Schott was recognized with the Helping Hands Award, and this year’s Volunteer Awards went to Viviana Reyes and Bruce Blankenship.
