Proposition 438 approved in special election results

The Coconino County Board of Supervisors certified the results of the May 17 election at a special session that took place Friday, approving Proposition 438, the measure that will place an increase in primary property taxes to fund Coconino Community College (CCC).

A total of 22.57% of registered voters in Coconino County participated in the election. Of 20,947 total ballots, 13,339 were in favor of the measure -- about 64%. About 95% of votes were cast by early ballot.
