Flagstaff City Council approves new rifles for police department

The Flagstaff City Council approved the purchase of new patrol rifles for the police department during its meeting on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

The decision authorizes a contract with Sionics Weapon Systems, a Tucson-based manufacturer of AR-15-style rifles, for 75 rifles and accompanying accessories at a total cost of $178,999.55.
