What began as a man in his vehicle blocking the drive-thru of Wendy’s on Highway 89 on March 30 led to a total of nine counts in Coconino County Superior Court, including unlawful flight from law enforcement, aggravated assault on an officer and resisting arrest.
Scott Matthew Carroll’s case was formally bound to Coconino County Superior Court on April 17, a little more than two weeks after a police pursuit on the eastside of Flagstaff wound through parts of Mobile Haven, Lower Greenlaw and Sunnyside. According to the police report released on April 18, the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) initially responded to Wendy’s at 12:49 p.m. on March 30 as a man in a white SUV held up at least 10 cars in the drive-thru while refusing to leave.
