“Home Town is a home renovation show imported from HGTV to Max where Erik and I watch three episodes a night. Ben and Erin, the hosts, are married to each other and at the end of season five, Erin is pregnant with their second child. She is tiny and thin, and Ben is at least six five and weighed 300 pounds, until he went on a diet. They do the regular renovations: tear down walls, remove wallpaper, install granite wherever they can.
At the beginning of every episode, Ben and Erin explain why they chose their home town, Laurel, Mississippi, as the place to begin their Home Improvement Enterprise. She grew up there. The town had fallen on hard times. They want to bring the “spark back to Laurel, one house at a time.
