Arizona Voices: Protecting northern Arizona's future: How clean energy investments are strengthening communities

Northern Arizona is at the frontlines of extreme weather events, facing rising temperatures, worsening wildfires, and flash flooding. But amid these growing threats, the region is also quietly witnessing a clean energy surge: communities and businesses are tapping into the state's year-round sunshine and federal investments to cut costs, build resilience, create good local jobs, and protect the environment.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) has already made a significant impact statewide by driving investments in electric vehicles, modern battery technology, and renewable energy. But beyond the big-ticket innovations, it’s also a game-changer for everyday Arizonans looking to reduce energy bills and safeguard against extreme weather events.
