Flagstaff baseball defeats Coconino, 8-1, behind Iniguez's complete game

Holding on to a three-run lead entering the seventh inning, the Flagstaff Eagles provided their ace the insurance he needed to close out their crosstown rival.

Five consecutive hits, including a trio of doubles, brought home four additional runs in the seventh for the No. 18-ranked Eagles (11-6, 8-4 Grand Canyon Region) as senior Connor Iniguez finished a complete game in an 8-1 victory against the No. 27 Coconino Panthers (6-10, 4-7) Wednesday afternoon at Coconino High School.
