LOCAL ROUNDUP: Coconino boys soccer gets over postseason hump

For the first time in program history, Coconino boys soccer won a 4A Conference play-in match, defeating Bradshaw Mountain, 3-2, on Friday in Prescott Valley.

“Honestly, no words can describe the journey that we went through,� Panthers head coach Erik Carrillo said. “It was our first playoff win in history, so we were just at a loss for words. The boys celebrated, we celebrated. The emotion was surreal. It was something that we’ve never really experienced.�
