NAU football drops out of FCS bracket, falling to Abilene Christian in 1st round

The Northern Arizona football team’s historic season came to an end on Saturday, as the unseeded Lumberjacks lost to No. 15 Abilene Christian, 24-0, in the first round of the FCS Playoffs in Abilene, Texas.

The Lumberjacks finished with a record of 8-5 (6-2 Big Sky) and made the postseason for the first time since 2017 thanks to a five-game winning streak. However, a disappointing performance kept the team winless since 2003 in bracket play.
