Man who led pursuit from Flagstaff Wendy's pleads guilty to reduced charges

Scott Matthew Carroll, who fled from sheriff’s deputies after an incident at a Flagstaff Wendy’s drive-thru earlier this year, pleaded guilty to a reduced set of charges on Monday in Coconino County Superior Court.

Carroll, 40, was arrested March 30 after blocking traffic at the Wendy’s on Highway 89 while claiming to be the restaurant’s owner, attempting to evade pursuing deputies by driving on the wrong side of the road, running stop signs and fleeing into a residential neighborhood. He had a suspended license at the time and was under the influence of methamphetamine.
